104th User group Questionnaire for Re-development of Scout Hall

To assist the potential redevelopment of the Scout Hall and grounds, we would appreciate if you could take a few minutes and answer the questions below.

Many thanks – from Scout Hall Property Sub-Committee

The Scout Hall is some 63 years old (built in 1955) and although some upgrading work was done around ten years ago, in terms of facilities for its current user groups, they have fallen behind and don’t meet the current demand nor the community needs e.g. disabled access is limited.

We will be setting off from Ratho at about 11am and the rough timings for the pick-up points along the way are shown below.

  • 1230h Stop at Kingsknowe Roadhouse (7 miles to Scout Hall)
  • 1315h – Set off again
  • 1415h – Stop at Fountainbridge Canal Basin, behind Akva (5.5 miles to Scout Hall)
  • 1500h – Set off again
  • 1630h – Stop at Stockbridge, end of Haugh Street, Water of Leith Walkway (2 miles to Scout Hall)
  • 1645h – Set off again

At each of the stopping points our support vehicle will be providing refreshments and snacks.

Pasta and games to finish at the Scout Hall.

Let us know which pick-up points you’ll be meeting us at, and we’d like sponsorship money returned to the leaders by 13th October.
